Notice from 9th May 2005
TRIMDON FOUNDRY PARISH COUNCIL
As Chairman of the Parish I would like to inform you that after a review of the way the Parish Council has been run, the Councillors have reviewed the situation and changes are now in progress to make this a more pleasant area to live in for young and old residents of our community.
Vandalism and antisocial behaviour will not stop us. Big changes are on the way. The Welfare Hall is now being revamped for invalidity access, a lift is being installed, computer rooms, a library and other facilities are in progress. Thousands of pounds are being spent at the playing fields where the old tennis courts were. This area has been fenced off to provide new changing rooms for the bowls club, cricketers and footballers, also swings and playing facilities for the children, which are now being installed at a cost of around £40,000.
We hope the public will work with us by keeping an eye on the area and reporting any vandalism. The Council will prosecute whenever we have proof.
Chairman of the Council
